Union Minister Jitin Prasada has paid a two-day official visit to the Czech Republic to bolster bilateral trade, investment, and industrial cooperation. He co-chaired the 13th session of the India-Czech Republic Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation (JCEC) along with his Czech counterpart Jan Sechter in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.

The event witnessed the signing of the protocol of the 13th India-Czechia JCEC to formalize economic and industrial agreements. Additionally, the India-Czech Business Forum was inaugurated in Prague to promote mutual investment and strengthen Business-to-Business (B2B) linkages between the two countries.

The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) has signed an MoU with NICDC Logistics Data Services Ltd (NLDSL) to enhance logistics efficiency and facilitate data-driven policymaking for the MSME sector. NLDSL is the digital and data division of the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC).

The Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) has partnered with the French Institute in India (IFI) to launch a 3-year initiative named “Para Elan” to promote inclusive education and empower youth through para-sports. The program aims to reach 10,000 students through activities such as awareness campaigns, specialized workshops, interactions with athletes, and adaptive sports engagements.

Herbalife India, a subsidiary of Herbalife Ltd (HLF), has signed an MoU with theIIT Madras to establish the first Centre of Excellence (CoE) on Plant Cell Fermentation Technology in India. The CoE will be located at the IIT Madras Research Park in Chennai.

The 7th Joint Group of Customs (JGC) meeting between India and Bhutan was held in Munnar, Keralam. The session was co-chaired by Yogendra Garg, Special Secretary and Member (Customs) of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), and his Bhutanese counterpart Sonam Jamtsho.

India is the largest trading partner of Bhutan, accounting for 80% of the total trade volume of Bhutan. Bilateral trade between the two nations reached over $1.9 billion in FY25, showing a growth of more than 46% compared to FY24.

The Space Applications Centre (SAC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has signed an MoU with the Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) to enhance sustainable land management practices in India.

The project involves mapping 3.2 lakh sq. km of land, which constitutes nearly 10% of the total geographical area of India. It is to be noted that the initiative is a significant step towards the goal of India to achieve Land Degradation Neutrality

The Department of Posts (DoP) has signed an MoU with the Prime

Ministers’ Museum and Library (PMML) to promote the democratic

history of India through philately and cultural outreach.

The agreement was signed at the PM Sangrahalaya on its 4th

Foundation Day. Under the partnership, both organizations will

organize joint exhibitions and establish a permanent co-branded

postal outlet within the museum premises.

The Gujarat government has signed an MoU with Allegiance International Company Ltd to establish an Indo-Taiwan Industrial Park in the Sanand-Dholera region.

The proposed industrial park will focus on high-technology sectors like semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, Electric Vehicles (EVs), robotics, and related supply chain infrastructure.

The Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND) has signed an MoU with the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) to enhance information sharing and inter-agency coordination.

The partnership aims to conduct joint outreach and training programmes for regulated entities to upgrade their Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Combating Financing of Terrorism (CFT) capabilities within the jurisdiction of the PFRDA.

The Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND) has signed a comprehensive MoU with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to bolster information exchange and mutual coordination. The agreement facilitates the sharing of intelligence from their respective databases to enhance regulatory oversight.

Additionally, the MoU establishes standardized procedures for reporting by regulated and reporting entities to the FIU-IND, in accordance with the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering (PML) Rules.

The Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) and NBCC (India) Limited, both under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), have signed two MoUs for urban redevelopment and asset monetisation in Delhi.

The agreements are valid for a period of 2 years.

National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has signed a non-binding MoU with the France-based Electricite de France (EDF) to collaborate on developing new nuclear power projects in India.

This partnership marks a strategic shift for NTPC, the largest thermal power producer in India, to diversify its energy portfolio. The company aims to achieve a nuclear capacity of 30 GW by 2047.

The Technology Development Board (TDB) has signed an agreement with the Gurugram-based Casey Aviation Pvt Ltd for the “Boost Electric Jump Take-Off (BE-JTO)” project. The TDB has sanctioned a conditional grant for this project under the “India–UK Collaborative Research & Development (R&D) Programme for Industrial Sustainability”, in partnership with the UK-based ARC Aerosystems Ltd.

The project aims to develop an advanced hybrid propulsion-based Jump Take-Off (JTO) system to enhance the operational capabilities of unmanned and light aircraft platforms. Additionally, the initiative aims to establish one of the first propulsion testing facilities in North India.
