The Indian Air Force (IAF) has successfully conducted a drop trial of the indigenous Long-Range Glide Bomb (LRGB) named ‘Khagantak-243’, demonstrating an enhanced long-range air-to-ground precision strike capability.

The 300 kg-class airborne Long Range Stand-Off Precision Guided Glide Bomb was developed through a collaborative partnership between Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) and JSR Dynamics.

India and China have held the inaugural Corps Commander-level military meeting in Arunachal Pradesh. The Indian delegation was led by Lt Gen Girish Kalia, the commander of the Rangapahar-based 3 Corps.

The National Shipbuilding and Heavy Industries Park Odisha Ltd (NSHIPOL) has received in-principle approval to establish a shipbuilding and heavy industries cluster in Kendrapara, Odisha, with a projected investment of ₹24,700 crore.

The approval was granted under the Shipbuilding Development Scheme (SbDS) of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW). The project will be implemented through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) comprising the Odisha Maritime Board (OMB) and the Paradip Port Authority (PPA).

Karnataka Minister Madhu Bangarappa has launched the Kannada and English editions of the book titled “Memorable Trials, Unforgettable Cases”.

The book is authored by HN Nagamohan Das (a former Judge of the Karnataka High Court) and published by Jana Prakashana. It focuses on spreading constitutional awareness and detailing various judicial experiences.

The Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA), functioning under the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD), has launched the “Adoption Awareness 2026” theme titled “Legal Adoption. Safe Childhood. Secure Future. Say No to Illegal Adoption!”.

PM Narendra Modi has inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹35,000 crore in Vadodara, Gujarat, under the ‘NaMo for Viksit Bharat’ initiative.

He dedicated three sections of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), covering 326 route km, built at a cost of over ₹20,700 crore. ICICI Bank Ltd has acquired an additional 2% stake in its life insurance subsidiary, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, for ₹1,470 crore through the stock exchange. With this, the total shareholding of the bank in the insurance venture has increased from 50.84% to 52.8%.

Kalyani Strategic Systems Ltd (KSSL), a wholly-owned defence subsidiary of Bharat Forge Ltd (BFL), has signed a Strategic Alliance Agreement (SAA) with France-based Thales Group to establish an industrial capability in India for producing 70 millimetre (mm) rocket systems.
