The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has signed an MoU with the National University of Singapore Institute of Systems Science (NUS-ISS) to strengthen AI governance and digital leadership capabilities among Indian enterprises.
R Mukundan has been elected as the President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for the 2026-27 term. He succeeds Rajiv Memani.
It is to be noted that the newly constituted National Council of the CII has also appointed Suchitra Ella as the President-Designate and Shashwat Goenka as the Vice President for the same term.
Rathi Steel and Power Ltd (RSPL), a special steel manufacturer, has been awarded the GreenPro Ecolabel Certification by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The certification is for the Rathi Powertech Thermo-Mechanically Treated (TMT) rebars produced at the manufacturing facility of the company in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. It is to be noted that the certification covers Fe 550 grade TMT rebars and serves as a Type-1 Eco label, validating environmental performance in line with international standards.
