Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has attended the 75th anniversary celebrations of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range (DKSSR) in New Delhi. A commemorative logo was unveiled to mark 75 years of competitive shooting in India.

The NRAI launched the “MyNRAI Athlete App”, making it the first fully digitised sports federation in India. Additionally, a nationwide grassroots programme was announced to introduce 7.5 lakh school and college students to shooting through a “10-shot experience” before the 2028 Olympics.

Sikkim has become the first fully paperless state judiciary in India, marking a milestone that coincides with the 50th anniversary of the statehood of Sikkim. The declaration was made by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant during a two-day national conclave on technology and judicial education held in Gangtok. The transition to a digital system incorporates AI tools to assist judicial officers. These include the Supreme Court Portal for Assistance in Court’s Efficiency (SUPACE) for legal research and the Supreme Court Vidhik Anuvaad Software (SUVAS) for language translation.

The Maharashtra Cabinet has approved the ‘AI Policy 2026’ to foster technological growth and infrastructure development in the state.

The policy aims to attract an investment of ₹10,000 crore and generate 1.5 lakh employment opportunities by 2031. The initiative focuses on the establishment of innovation centres and the implementation of skill training programs to support AI driven economic expansion.

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has partnered with the fintech firm Kiwi to launch a co-branded RuPay credit card named “PNB Kiwi Credit Card” integrated with the UPI. The initiative aims to expand digital credit access and strengthen the digital payments ecosystem in India.

The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) has signed an MoU with Jumps Automation LLP under the C-DOT Collaborative Research Programme (CCRP) to develop a gamification platform for cybersecurity awareness.

The initiative aims to enhance the cybersecurity preparedness of individuals and enterprises through an interactive digital environment.

The Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Ltd (BECIL) has signed an MoU with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) to collaborate in the fields of advanced technologies, digital transformation, and capacity building. The partnership focuses on joint project implementation, consultancy, and technical support, including the development of solutions in emerging technologies.

According to the “India Digital Payments Report- Year 2025 in Review” released by Worldline SA, the UPI processed 228.5 billion transactions in 2025. This is a 33% Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y) increase from 172.2 billion transactions in 2024. The total value of transactions reached ₹299.74 trillion.

Person-to-Merchant (P2M) transactions grew by 34% to 143.82 billion. The merchant acceptance infrastructure expanded as the number of Quick Response (QR) codes increased by 15% Y-o-Y to reach 731.38 million. The report also states that the total number of payment cards in circulation exceeded 1.62 billion by the end of 2025.

SEBI has launched three new Information Technology (IT) platforms: “Single Universal Platform for Communications” (SUPCOMS) 2.1, the “e-adjudication portal”, and “Cyber-Sec Audit Compliance” (C-SAC).

The SUPCOMS 2.1 platform serves as a centralized digital interface that replaces traditional email-based communication for all interactions with external entities. The “e-Adjudication Portal” provides a transparent and paperless platform for quasi-judicial proceedings to increase efficiency and speed. It is to be noted that C-SAC is an AI based platform that enables automated analysis of cyber audit reports to identify compliance gaps and provide risk insights.

NPCI Bharat BillPay Ltd (NBBL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), has onboarded Axis Bank onto the “Banking Connect” platform.

With this, the platform is now available across 8 major banks, including State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank. The platform also integrates 11 Payment Aggregators (PAs) to facilitate streamlined digital payment services.

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has signed an MoU with the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) to enhance credit availability for sellers registered on the platform.
